Elevation Outdoors Leaders in Action Program is a free outdoor recreation and mentorship program designed for Okanagan youth who face barriers to accessing outdoor experiences that build confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging.
Over a full school year, participants rock climb, mountain bike, snowboard, hike, camp, and more — guided by certified instructors and mentors who show up consistently, week after week. But the program goes beyond sport. Youth gain volunteer experience, explore career pathways, and develop the life skills that help them transition into adulthood with purpose and direction.
Everything is included: equipment, instruction, transportation, an overnight bike camp, and a week-long graduation trip the group plans and budgets themselves.
By the end of the year, participants don't just know the joys of a mountain summit or the thrill of a snowboard run. They know how to show up, work with others, and lead.

Canadian Adaptive Snowsports - Alberta is dedicated to providing accessible winter sports opportunities to individuals with disabilities across Alberta. Our programmes are designed to foster independence, confidence, and joy through adaptive skiing and snowboarding activities. Thanks to our recent grant, we are able to purchase a new sitski for the Cold Lake chapter, which will significantly enhance our ability to serve young riders this winter at Kinosoo Ridge. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to enjoy the outdoors regardless of physical challenges, and we strive to create an inclusive environment for all participants. Join us in making winter sports accessible to everyone in our community.
